*updated*Man is missing in my neighborhood.*updated*

I have been seeing a lot of helicopter activity over the state park (First Landing) and the trails that I run/walk on everyday. Today, they were handing out fliers as you entered the trails. I hope they find him soon but I have a bad feeling about this whole thing.

Here is the story from WVEC.com:

VIRGINIA BEACH - A Navy man on leave is missing.

Chief Petty Officer Gerard Curran didn't report back to work at Naval Station Norfolk Thursday.

His wife reported him missing on Thursday as well.

Curran, 45, last had contact with his family around 7:00 p.m. on July 28.

His vehicle was found at First Landing Park near the trail center, police say.

His family says he's an avid runner and they worry he may have experienced problems running in the heat.

Curran works for Naval Telecommunication and Computer Area Master Station Atlantic.

He's white, 5'10" tall, weighs 185 pounds, has thinning brown hair and green eyes. He may have been wearing khaki shorts and white running shoes.

If you've seen anyone matching that description in the park area, call the Virginia Beach Police Department at 757-385-5000 or 757-385-4101.

UPDATE: His body was found in the park. The VAB Police are treating as a suicide until the coroner is finished with his investigation. So sad. :(
